From theory to action: a vision that has evolved into a project for children in Tanzania
Charitable action in Tanzania
The Greek Tanzanian Orphanage (TOM) is the result of unselfish love for the fellow man, which led a young couple from Greece, Alekos and Nafsika, to fulfil their glittering vision. The orphanage housed in the village Galijembe Tanzania and hosts more than 65 children aged 5-18 years who are orphaned by both parents. In the centre, children find the shelter and embrace they need. TOM’s immediate goal is to upgrade the newly established school that provides children with a quality and decent education, as public schools in the country do not meet the needs of students. Language, Mathematics, English, History, Creative Activities and Religion are the lessons that cover the school program.

The needs of TOM
Construction of a new school wing
The orphanage needs financial support to build the new wing of the school so in order to can be expanded.
Coverage of operating costs
Financial assistance is very important in order to meet the needs for the basic commissions and fees of teachers working in the school.
Creating new dormitories
The immediate plans are to build two additional dormitories with a capacity of 27-28 people each to accommodate an even larger number of children.

From our side, we want to strengthen TOM’s charity work in Tanzania, so that all children have a better future. That’s why the net profit of Egreeno Eco-Detergent sales will be 3% for the needs of the orphanage. Our company chooses to invest in high values and principles that remain unchanged over time. Because every child must have an equal right to education and care!
