How did Egreeno rise?
My name is Christos Gouletsas, I am a chemical engineer and I am the head of a team of young scientists with training and passion for research and innovation.
In 2010, we founded our company, located in the beautiful countryside of Kilkis, in a green plain beside the Axios river. The location we chose was not by accident since we loved nature very much and we sought to pass it on to our products as well. We preferred to be away from the city, use clean water for our detergents, and employ human resources from the surrounding villages, giving life to the local society of the border of Axioupolis.
When I became a father for the first time, I started to care about issues that until then I did not care about, such as my child’s health and my own health as a parent. We wanted with my wife what we and our child used to be 100% healthy and safe. Starting from our love for nature and our child, Egreeno products, a pioneering series of pure natural detergents with particular added plant ingredients and properties, have risen.
And then it was when we learned with my wife about the Greek orphanage T.O.M. in Tanzania. We have always been moved and saddened by images of babies who are hungry and living in miserable conditions in Africa but we have not found an effective way of helping them and doing something to change a little bit that situation.
Alekos and Nausika, two Greeks from Katerini, did what most of us would never dare. They left the comfort of our country and went to distant Tanzania to make an orphanage from scratch, facing countless difficulties. When we met them and heard them speak with such excitement about the difficult but fruitful work that they are doing in Tanzania, we could not remain unaffected by so much unselfish love.
We thought with my wife that at last we could also support the African children in some way and become a partner in something wonderful that is so far away from our everyday life. So we decided 3% of our net revenue from sales of the Egreeno detergent series, to offer it to the Greek Orphanage in Tanzania “TOM”. And we are very happy with this choice because we know that little of ours and your own surplus go to cover the huge deficiencies of our fellow citizens in an area that is so much in need.

We respect nature and the environment
ur philosophy, our function and our products are perfectly in line with this. The water, the sun, the air, the earth, give us their pores, and we ought to keep them and recycle them back to nature again.
We love our children and give them the best
We want them to grow up well and play carelessly in a clean house without harmful chemicals. That is why our products include ingredients that are internationally recognized as being friendly to the human body and we have excluded substances that pose any health problems.
Greece is a blessed country
The biodiversity of the Greek flora offers a huge variety of essential oils, vegetable oils or ingredients that have miraculous properties. We just thought about using them.

Balance prevails in nature
Balance prevails in nature. And our detergents are designed to be balanced: effective and hard with dirt, but pure and friendly to humans, ecologically and naturally for the environment. But we do not like mediocrity.
We want our detergents to be the purest and most natural one on the market but at the same time ready to clean with excellent efficiency. For this purpose, we are investigating, reading, testing, analyzing, asking, updating, constantly improving…

Our mission is simple: to make the world a better place. Wherever we can and as much as we can. We believe that we must return back to people the good and the love we receive. This is exactly what Alekos and Nafsika, two Greeks who have built from scratch an orphanage in poverty-stricken Tanzania.
